Learn about linked data

A CSU study group of librarians spent most of the 2024-2025 academic year learning about linked data-related workflows, tools and applications in the context of special collections and archives. We have compiled a list of resources and learning pathways for anyone to follow and engage in self-directed study. There are some introductory videos and building blocks for learning about linked data in the General Introduction This link will take you to an external website in a new tab. tab of the main special collections-focused document linked below. All curious library workers could work through some of those. We welcome you to engage in self-paced and role-relevant learning as it makes sense for you and your campus. 

Some people from the CSU, entirely new to linked data, have also found the following learning sequences helpful. 

Finally, the CSU Linked Data Task Force conducted a Wikidata-focused learning project in 2023-2024.
